Privacy Policy

What We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We use this solely to create and maintain your Lsalad account.

Google User Data

Lsalad uses Google OAuth 2.0 to authenticate users. When you choose to sign in with Google, we access the following data from your Google account:

• Your name (to display on your profile)
• Your email address (to identify your account)
• Your profile photo (to display as your avatar)

This data is used exclusively to create and manage your Lsalad account. We do not access any other Google account data such as contacts, calendars, or Drive files. We do not share your Google user data with any third parties. We do not use your Google user data for advertising or any purpose other than providing and improving the Lsalad service.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to personalize your experience — saving favorite recipes, tracking cooking progress, and displaying your profile. We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Subscription & Purchase Data

Lsalad Pro subscriptions can be purchased through the Apple App Store or through our website via Stripe.

Apple App Store purchases

Apple processes your payment directly. We never receive or store your credit card details, billing address, or Apple ID password. We receive from Apple a transaction identifier and subscription status information (such as whether your subscription is active, your plan type, and expiration date) to provide you with access to Pro features.

Website purchases (Stripe)

When you subscribe through lsalad.com, your payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We share the following data with Stripe to process your payment:

• Your email address (to identify your Stripe customer record)
• Your name (if provided, for receipt generation)

Stripe may collect additional information directly from you during checkout, such as your card number and billing address. This data is collected and stored by Stripe, not by Lsalad. We never receive or store your full card number.

From Stripe, we receive and store:

• Your Stripe customer ID (an internal identifier)
• Subscription status (active, trialing, cancelled, expired)
• Plan type (monthly or yearly) and current billing period dates
• Payment failure notifications (no card details included)

This data is stored in our database alongside your account and is subject to the same security and retention policies described in this policy. For more information about how Stripe handles your data, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Apple Health Data

Lsalad can optionally write nutrition data (dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and fiber) to Apple Health when you log meals. This integration requires your explicit permission and can be revoked at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access.

• Health data is used solely to display your nutrition insights within the app and to sync with Apple Health on your device.
• Health data is never shared with third parties, transmitted to our servers, or used for advertising or marketing purposes.
• Health data is never sold to data brokers or any other entity.
• We do not read any health data from Apple Health — we only write nutrition data that you explicitly choose to log.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS in the United States) and served via Vercel. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated sessions only through row-level security policies.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will permanently remove all your personal data, including your profile, favorites, and cooking history, within 30 days of your request.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.

Children's Privacy

Lsalad is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us and we will promptly delete the information.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can request a copy of your data or account deletion by contacting us at hello@lsalad.com. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the app. Continued use of Lsalad after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
